Explore the Fairwind Hotel on Collins Avenue and you’ll eventually come upon a surprise that’s a refreshing change of pace from the norm. Unlike the typical bar experience in Miami Beach, the speakeasy known as Spellbound doesn’t have an alfresco area to get some sun while you drink nor does it have massive windows overlooking the city.

Spellbound is a different experience, emanating a mysterious dark ambiance while offering plenty of drink options and drinking aficionados. In keeping with its unique, mystical identity, guests are given Tarot card menus. You’ll notice a wide assortment of drinks by its mixologist David Velasquez, all of which are crafted by hand. Should you visit between the hours of midnight to 2 am you can participate in the Witching Hour and sip on cocktails for $7, wine for $5, and beer for just $4.

To find Spellbound, you’ll need to do a little digging. Check out the side of the Fairwind Hotel on 10th Street and if you look hard enough, you’ll see a private entrance. Just inform the doorman you need some help and you’ll be guided over to the speakeasy to see what the future holds for you.

Spellbound is open on Thursday through Saturday from 8 pm to 2 am.
