Historical Figures of Miami Beach

Miami Beach has a long, fascinating history. Plenty of famous people have lived on the Beach, including Al Capone and other mobsters. The glitz and glamor of Miami Beach can attract dozens of celebrities and icons. Here’s a list of some of the more famous, older figures.

Al Capone is probably the most famous Miami Beach resident. He lived in Miami Beach during 1929, after wintering in Miami for the past two years. He was a notorious mobster also known by the scary name Scarface. Capone spent most of his career profiting off of alcohol during Prohibition. He is most well-known in Chicago, but he spent some of his time in Miami Beach.

Albert Warner also lived in Miami Beach. He was one of the four brothers that founded Warner Bros. Studios, a huge American entertainment company that produces films, TV, and video games. The family came from Poland and eventually created one of the biggest entertainment companies in the United States.

Alex Omes is a more recent figure. He co-founded Ultra Music Festival, an annual electronic music festival. Ultra is an intense, multi-day event with hundreds of thousands of attendees every year. Famous artists like Skrillex, The Chainsmokers, Deadmau5, and David Guetta have all performed there.

Miami Beach is a unique and captivating place that can attract a lot of interesting personalities. The glamor of Miami Beach won’t go away soon.
